The planet Atreia was created by the God Aion, it used to be a single land, which is divided between 3 races in the game. Two are playable: Elyos and Asmodians; And a non-playable one is the Balaurs, who lived trapped in the center in the territory called Abyss. In this divided world generated by the Cataclysm (a great war that caused the planet to split in half), Elyos and Asmodians fight among themselves and against the Balaur, who were once imprisoned in the depths of the Abyss.
BALAUR
A powerful and intelligent race that was created by the God Aion to protect the planet of Atreia. However, they became obsessed with power and their obsession made them violate the restrictions that Aion placed on them, forcing the God Aion to create the Empyrean Lords to save and protect the planet. After a long war against the Empyrean Lords, they were banished from Atreia and sealed in the Abyss, an unstable rift between the two halves of Atreia, which was split in the Cataclysm. However, the Balaurs have managed to escape their prison and now threaten this fragile world with their fury once again...
ELYOS
They occupy the lower part of Atreia, known as Elysea. After the Epic Cataclysm, they stayed on the side of the planet that receives sunlight, and after more than 750 years, they transformed into a beautiful and radiant people, with dazzling and angelic wings, however, their splendor also made the Elyos become become somewhat arrogant, they see themselves as blessed by Aion, while the Asmodians, cast into darkness by the Cataclysm, are seen by the Elyos as cursed creatures. The Elyos are comforting and friendly, but against their enemies, they do not show any signs of kindness or benevolence.
ASMODIANS
Separated in the dark part of the planet, they plunged into a world of despair. They had to survive the lack of Sun and the scars are exposed to everyone's eyes, like the Asmodians and a cold and dark place, after more than 750 years existing only in darkness, their bodies adapt to the conditions so their skin became pale, they created fur on part of his body, claws on his feet, his eyes turned red when confronting the enemy. Asmodians are a hostile race and will not think twice before using their powers in battle. Similar to their Elyos counterparts, Asmodians are also blessed with strength and the ability to fly, but their wings are dark.
